The Multicast transformation splits a a single data file into multiple files. Multicasts are handy if you need to send multiple copies of data to different destinations or perform different subsequent transformations. The transformation has one input and multiple outputs. There is very little configuration needed or required, all you can do is add a name and description for each output once you have created it. So all in all a  simple transformation, and very easy to understand.
