Tabular models are a simple but high performance alternative to building OLAP cube based Data Warehouses. This video demonstrates how a simple Tabular Data Warehouse can be built in about 5 minutes. Tabular models are a new feature in SQL Server 2012. They offer the opportunity to simplify the design, building and deployment of simple Data Warehouses. The inclusion of Columnar Indexes and the DAX language enables the rapid slicing and dicing of large data sets.
